The Vancouver Lookout

The Vancouver Experience Prize Giveaway

In Vancouver, you can enhance your Kiwanis experience and visit a beautiful city. But the advantages don’t end there.

When you register for the convention, you’re also eligible to take part in our monthly prize giveaways. Just sign up for the giveaways after signing up for the convention!

Tourism Vancouver has graciously provided us with a set of first-rate prizes. We’ll feature prizes each month from October 2012 through February 2013. In each of those months, we’ll give one prize each to a lucky, randomly selected convention registrant. In February, the grand prize will be an “experience pass” that gives exclusive access to some of Vancouver’s best attractions and opportunities. Remember, you must sign up to be eligible for the prizes. And to sign up, you must be registered for the convention. Once you sign up, your name will be included in all the remaining monthly selections. (If you do win a prize, we’ll take your name out of the subsequent months to give everyone a chance. But your name will be included in the grand prize selection.) One entry per eligible registrant, please.

See who won in OctoberNovemberDecember and January!

Win or lose ... show your badge!

Show your conference badge at participating businesses—and get discounts offered exclusively to Kiwanis convention attendees. It’s your chance to save money on attractions and sightseeing tours, shops, spas, transportation, restaurants, liquor stores and night clubs.

A few things to note:

  1. Convention registrants (including guests registered by a Kiwanian who are not Kiwanians themselves) may also enter to be eligible to win.
  2. The entire pool of registrants by the end of each month is added to the pool of possible winners for that month’s prizes.
  3. A month’s prize winners are selected on the first business day after the end of that month. For example, the winner of the October drawing will be determined on November 1.
  4. Prize winners will be excluded from all subsequent months—except for the grand prize opportunity. Everyone who registers for convention and signs up for the prizes will be eligible to win the grand prize.
  5. Prizes unclaimed within 30 days or refused will be made available again in a subsequent month.
  6. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. They may not be substituted and have no cash value.
  7. By entering, the winner agrees to the use of his or her name, address, voice and likeness in any advertising or promotion without compensation. We will list winners’ names and locations on our website for at least one month after the prize draw and include them in electronic and print communications.
  8. A prize may only be awarded to people aged 18 or older. Winners may be required to prove they meet this requirement before the prize is awarded.
  9. Kiwanis International employees, the Kiwanis International Board members, their licensees, associates, affiliates, subsidiaries, exhibitors or their immediate family member and/or those living in the same household are not eligible.
  10. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to hold Kiwanis International, partners, sponsors, their respective directors, officers and employees and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability arising from use of the prize.

  11. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claiming to be caused, by participation in this promotion or by use or redemption of any prize. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by the official rules.
  12. We reserve the right to cancel or suspend any prize at any point, without liability to the prize-givers or winners.
  13. Prizes left unclaimed after a month or refused will be made available as prizes in a subsequent drawing.
  14. Our decision is final on all matters, and we will not enter into any further correspondence.
