Did you know?

This year, these themes will set the mood and direction for each day of the convention:
Wednesday: Club and district foundations
Thursday: Children and service to children
Friday: Administrative and governance
Saturday: Women in Kiwanis

Celebrating women in Kiwanis

Make sure you're in New Orleans for the 2012 Kiwanis International Convention where we will celebrate 25 years of women in Kiwanis!

Women have been involved in Kiwanis for decades in many roles, but in 1987, delegates at the international convention voted “yes” to invite women to join the organization. Be in New Orleans to celebrate this historic vote. Here are just a few things we have planned to mark this important milestone:

  • Workshops and forums
  • Welcome reception
  • Legion of Honor recognitions
  • Onstage event during closing session
  • Women in Kiwanis booth in the exhibit hall
  • Special anniversary merchandise

Aktion Club Training and Leadership Conference

Did you know that the Aktion Club Training and Leadership Conference will take place concurrent with the 2012 Kiwanis International Convention? Aktion Club members and advisors will have their own track of educational opportunities, a service project, and fellowship activities as well as participate the Kiwanis Convention activities. If your Kiwanis club sponsors an Aktion Club, contact the club advisor to encourage attendance at convention. Otherwise, consider sponsoring an Aktion Club member from your district. Let's do service
