West Virginia is promoting The Eliminate Project! At University High School in Morgantown, West Virginia, I hosted an assembly for donations. The students and faculty of my school entered the gym without knowing anything about The Eliminate Project. After showing a PowerPoint presentation and videos to advertise what Key Club is doing, nearly 1,350 people left with the knowledge of how we are helping to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus from the world.
Aside from the assembly, I also set up a table during the lunch periods with informational handouts and collected more donations! The University High School Key Club collected a total of US$315.85! The funds raised were all donated directly to The Eliminate Project!
Assemblies are not common at University High School; the process of achieving the permission to host a fundraiser like this was not easy. After filling out papers, and days of waiting, I received the necessary permission. Other clubs are now working towards hosting assemblies at University High School as well. They saw how they can be beneficial, not only to the school, but to the world as well. Key Club, along with The Eliminate Project, is changing the world, in more ways than one.
