Service in July

No matter who or how many people you have around you, you don’t have to stop serving others. Serve! However you serve—solo, with a Kiwanis club, or with family and friends—give these project ideas a try.


  • Comfort sick children. Quilts for Kids is a nonprofit organization that donates handmade patchwork quilts to children in need. If you enjoy sewing and want to make a big impact, this service project is meant for you! Request a kit today—you only have to pay for shipping.
  • Volunteer for veterans. Offer service at a veterans medical center or career center in your community this summer! Find a veterans center near you. It’s a perfect way to show your appreciation and to give back to your community.
  • Collect camping supplies. For children whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS, Camp Dreamcatcher has been providing free therapeutic and educational programs for almost 20 years. Camping season is one of their most important parts of the year. Take a look at the program's wish list to build your donation.
