3 Days in Paris

Day 1 Geneva—Paris
Your Kuoni Tour director will accompany you to the Geneva train station and you will take the 9:17 a.m. TGV (French high speed train: Train à Grande Vitesse) (second class) to Paris. Arrival in Paris at 12:49 p.m., transfer to hotel. A local guide then takes you on a three-hour bus tour of the city. Major landmarks: Vendôme plaza, Concorde plaza, Champs Elysées, Trocadéro, Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Pont Neuf, Notre Dame, Bastille plaza and the new Opera, Luxembourg Gardens. Includes overnight stay at a centrally located three-star hotel.

Day 2 Paris
This morning is devoted to the visit of the magnificent Palace of Versailles. The royal residence is a witness of the splendors and pomp of the Golden Century, and reflects the glory of the great Sun King. You will discover the Grand Apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen’s apartments, without forgetting the admirable French-style gardens. Out of a marshy forest and an old feudal chateau, Louis XIV, in 50 year’s reign and thanks to the genius of the greatest of French, Dutch or Italian artists of his time, made it one of the most vast and finest chateaus in the world.

The afternoon is free for you to discover Paris on your own. Your tour director is available for suggestions and ideas, and can recommend restaurants for the evening.

Day 3 Paris—Geneva
The early part of the morning is free. Departure by private bus for the train station, where you board the 11:10 a.m. TGV (second class) for arrival in Geneva at 2:35 p.m. A private bus will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 1 Geneva—Paris
Meet your Kuoni tour director at the Geneva train station. Leave Geneva at 9:17 a.m. on the TGV train and reach Paris on time for your optional lunch, at 12:49 p.m. There, transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour with a private bus and a local guide before dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 Paris
This morning, you are taken on a half-day excursion to the palace of Versailles, by private bus, with a local guide. The afternoon is free for you to explore Paris on your own. Overnight stay in Paris.

Day 3 Paris—Brussels
Proceed to Brussels, Belgium, by bus, where a local guide meets you for sightseeing. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Brussels—Amsterdam
Continue the journey north, and reach Amsterdam around noon. During a canal cruise with a local guide, you’ll get to know the major sights of Amsterdam. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Amsterdam—Cologne
Free time, then head to Cologne to visit the mighty cathedral. Dinner and overnight stay in Cologne.

Day 6 Cologne—Black Forest
You’ll drive via Coblence to Boppard for a Rhine cruise to St. Goar. Make another stop in the wine village of Rüdesheim, then continue to Heidelberg. In the afternoon, enter the Black Forest. Dinner and overnight stay in Titisee.

Day 7 Black Forest—Geneva
In the morning, stop at the Rhinefalls before continuing to Zurich. Time on your own. Arrive in Geneva in afternoon.

Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland

Day 1 Geneva—Milan
Leave Geneva on a tour bus with your Kuoni tour director and enter France. Our route takes you via the Mont Blanc tunnel into Italy, the Aosta Valley and by the early afternoon, to the northern Italian city of Milan. A local guide takes you on a city tour of Milan, including a stop to admire the famous painting of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. Dinner and overnight stay at a first-class hotel in Milan.

Day 2 Milan—Venice
Depart Milan, driving east to reach Venice around noon. From Venezia-Tonchetto, you’ll be transferred by private boat to St. Mark’s square, where you’ll go on a city tour on foot, with a local guide. Among the main sights, you’ll visit the Dodge’s Palace with your guide. Later on, following some free time, dinner is served in a local restaurant before you transfer back to Venice-Tronchetto, board your bus and proceed to Venice–Mestre for an overnight stay.

Day 3 Venice—Innsbruck
Today, you cross the Alps from south to north, enter Austria and reach Innsbruck in the afternoon, following a 386 km (240 miles) drive. Upon arrival, you’ll discover the Tyrolean town with your tour director, see the ‘Goldenes Dachel’ the Olympic ski jump and more before dinner and an overnight stay at a first-class hotel.

Day 4 Innsbruck—Munich
You’ll cross the border into Germany and make your way to Füssen and the fairy tale castle of Neuschwanstein, one of King Ludwig’s three major castles built in Bavaria. Visit the castle on a guided tour. More of the Bavarian countryside is revealed, including the famous Church in der Wies, on your way to Munich. Tonight’s dinner will be served in one of the typical Bavarian beer halls. Overnight stay at a first-class hotel.

Day 5 Munich—Zurich
A local guide of Munich meets you for a city tour which includes the main sights of ‘Viktualienmarkt’ (farmer’s market), the Marienplatz to see the Glockenspiel, the Olympic area, the BMW factory and its museum and a visit of the Nymphenburg Castle. In the early afternoon, return to Switzerland along Lake Constance, continue by following the Rhine as far as Schaffhausen, where you’ll stop at the mighty Rhinefalls. Dinner in Zurich will be served in a local restaurant, overnight stay at a first-class hotel.

Day 6 Zurich—Geneva
Drive from Zurich to Bern. Here you‘llstop, walk the old cobbled alleys with your tour director to see the Parliament building, the arcaded shops and the new bear pit (enclosure housing bears). Arrive in Geneva in the afternoon.
