Getting to New Orleans
The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport welcomes millions of travelers to the Crescent City each year. The airport is located about 15 miles from the city’s French Quarter and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Gant Travel and Kiwanis International have worked together to provide special fares for travel to the 2012 Convention.
Shuttle service is available from the airport to hotels in the Central Business District (CBD) for US$20 per person, one way or $38 round trip. Three bags per person. Taxi rides cost about US$33 for one or two people from the airport to the CBD. Pick-up is on the lower level, outside of the baggage claim area. For your convenience, Kiwanis International will provide free shuttle bus service between official convention hotels and the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center. Shuttles will operate on a continuous loop between official hotels and the convention center during official functions.
