The Eliminate Project

Changing the world by saving and protecting mothers and newborns

Mother and child who live where MNT is a threatEvery nine minutes, an infant dies from neonatal tetanus. That short lifetime is marked by pain, robbing a mother of the chance to provide even the comfort of her touch. Most of these tragedies occur in countries that haven't yet eliminated maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT).

With The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus, Kiwanis International has joined forces with UNICEF to change the world for millions of mothers and babies.

The Eliminate Project's fundraising campaign will raise US$110 million by 2015—eliminating MNT from the face of the Earth and protecting some of the world's most vulnerable people. Contributions flow through Kiwanis International Foundation but need to be designated to The Eliminate Project.

Easy ways to give to The Eliminate Project

On average, US$1.80 can protect a woman and her future children from MNT. Based on this average, the Kiwanis family's generosity will save and protect millions of mothers and babies.

It's a momumental effort—to protect one of the most intimate bonds on Earth. With your help, we can save and protect lives ... we can keep a family whole.
